LITTLE SIP IPA ARRIVES JUNE 26TH!
We’re elated to announce and introduce you to the newest addition to our Sunshine family, Little Sip IPA! Little Sip IPA quenches your thirst as you reach the summit of your favorite hike. It’s the beer you grab for the victorious celebration after that birdie during a golf game, and it keeps you company while you mow the lawn. It pairs best with outdoor adventures and fun, and it never disappoints! Our little cousin to Sip of Sunshine IPA has a juicy, fruit-forward character layered with tropical hop flavors and bright floral aromas. Notes of grapefruit and pineapple complement this delectably balanced beer. Coming in at 6.2% ABV, it is delightfully crushable and will make its debut in Vermont at the end of this month!
Available at our drive-thru retail store in Waitsfield, VT on Friday, June 26th and at select retail accounts in Vermont on Monday, June 29th, Little Sip IPA is our new favorite everyday beer and we can’t wait to share it with you.
In celebration of the release, we’ll be rolling out a unique and inventive virtual launch that will include a plethora of activities, both online and outdoors. There will be opportunities for our fans to take part in (physically-distant!) physical challenges and scavenger hunts to win Little Sip prizes and also join virtual Little Sip IPA tastings with the Lawson’s Finest team. SOCIAL IMPACT PROGRAM (SIP)
For the month of June, the Lawson’s Finest Sunshine Fund will accept donations on behalf of the Vermont Community Fund‘s COVID-19 Response Fund which supports the most vulnerable people and communities in Vermont by addressing the basic needs of food, shelter, safety, and mental health.
We were honored to see our staff and fans alike take part in Green Up Day last month, a statewide initiative to keep Vermont beautiful coordinated by Green Up Vermont. This year marked the 50th anniversary of this wonderful Vermont tradition, and we were thrilled to participate as both sponsors and volunteers!
We are proud to serve as the designated Mad River Valley pick-up location for free meals distributed weekly courtesy of Shift Meals, a local food response to COVID-19. ShiftMeals provides nourishing meals for those in need during these challenging times, including laid-off restaurant workers, musicians, artists, gig workers, farmers, and anyone else affected by this crisis. Meals can be ordered online via the ShiftMeals site by noon on Tuesdays for pickup on Thursdays between 12–6 PM at our retail drive-thru.
OPERATIONAL UPDATES
Our retail store remains open with curbside drive-thru service and online ordering. We are adhering to all of the latest guidance from the Vermont Governor’s office and the CDC in order to ensure the safety of our staff and our guests, which is always our first priority. A full list of our packaged beer is available on our website, which is updated daily. We continue to offer a 40% discount for our dedicated healthcare workers (please bring your work ID). We want to thank all of our guests for continuing to support us in this new environment.
We are very much looking forward to resuming service and welcoming you all back to our taproom in the months ahead. We are currently working on our detailed re-opening plans to ensure the safety of our guests and employees while also delivering the world-class service that fans have come to expect from Lawson’s Finest Liquids. We are carefully following the guidance from the State of Vermont, and we do not yet have a firm re-opening date to announce. We will be re-opening in a phased approach, starting with outdoor service with reservations only. As soon as we have a date confirmed, we will post that information on our website and on social media. Cheers to days ahead in the beer garden!
BEER RELEASES
June marks the arrival of many new and exciting beer releases at Lawson’s Finest Liquids! First up is The Space In Between with Passion Fruit, scheduled for release at our drive-thru retail store and at select retail accounts in Vermont on Wednesday, June 3rd. This special edition of our beloved Space in Between beer features Passion Fruit puree! With a depth and form unclear, this hazy ale resides in the space in between styles. Brewed with oats and wheat, a hint of tartness, and dry-hopped with Galaxy & Nelson Sauvin.
App Gap Saison returns on Saturday, June 6th with a new Belgian-style saison blend yeast! An homage to our mountain gateway to the Valley, our Belgian style farmhouse ale has a slightly spicy character, fruity yeast-driven esters and an effervescent, dry finish.
On Wednesday June 24th, we’ll celebrate the second annual release of our Kingdom Trails IPA, a fundraising beer brewed in collaboration with the crew at The Kingdom Trails Association. Proceeds from the sale of this year’s Kingdom Trails IPA will support the conservation of land on the Darling Ridge in the Northeast Kingdom in partnership with the Vermont Land Trust. Kingdom Trails IPA is pale yellow in color, soft and refreshing on the palate with a mild bitterness and an intensely fruit forward and floral nose.
BEER DELIVERIES
June also brings very exciting news in the world of Lawson’s Finest beer deliveries across our nine-state distribution footprint! We are thrilled to have Super Session #4, brewed with Centennial hops, available for everyone’s enjoyment at home and outdoors (at a safe distance!) in both 12oz. 12-packs and in 4-packs of the new 16oz. cans! We’ll also be shipping out The Space In Between with Passion Fruit, which will be available to all of our fans in Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey by the third week in June. And we are always working hard to keep the shelves stocked with fan favorite Sip of Sunshine!
VIRTUAL MUSIC SERIES
Last month we kicked off our Virtual Music Series, launched to support musicians affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with special videos from local favorites The Grift and taproom regular Matt Hagen, followed by live performances by Chad Hollister and Some Hollow Vermont. This month, we are thrilled to host G. Love on Monday, June 1st at 7pm. Be sure to tune into our Facebook, crack open a fresh beer and kick off your week with some funky, fun-loving vibes, and stay tuned for more additions to our Virtual Music Series throughout the month of June!
