Sips of Sunshine
Although we may be apart quite a bit, we at Lawson’s Finest are finding joy and humor in life’s smallest pleasures. We want to remind you that we are all in this together, and are looking forward to sunny days ahead with you.
Despite the strange times we find ourselves living in these days, we have had a lot to be thankful for lately. First off, we were delighted to receive the news that we were named as the 2020 Vermont Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Lawson’s Finest Liquids was recognized for its employment growth, success in the marketplace, company expansion and community involvement. We would like to thank all of our loyal staff and fans who have helped us along the way!
Another bright spot came in the form of celebrating our twelfth anniversary on March 17th. While we’ve had to postpone the taproom anniversary celebration originally planned for May, we all raised a glass to honor tapping the very first keg of Sugarhouse IPA and to selling the first pint of Lawson’s Finest Liquids at Mad River Glen‘s General Stark’s Pub in 2008.
In other news, we’re finding ways to do things together while we’re apart at Lawson’s Finest Liquids! We’ve started a weekly staff virtual happy hour to reconnect and recharge our batteries while most of us are working remotely.
We want to virtually connect with all of you as well while you’re practicing safe social distancing and enjoying a cold beer! If you find yourself sipping on some of our fine liquids, take a photo and post with the hashtag #SippingSunshine so we can follow along!

Operational Updates
Due to COVID-19, the taproom at Lawson’s Finest Liquids is closed until further notice.
Our retail store remains open for curbside beer sales from 12-7pm Monday – Friday and 11am-7pm Saturday – Sunday (credit cards only please). Click here for a list of packaged beer for sale.
We are offering these services at our drive-thru retail store:
Curbside service: Our staff will bring the sunshine right to your car! We’ll take your order at your car window, or bring out your phone order that was placed ahead of time.
Phone orders: You may place your order ahead of time over the phone by calling 802-496-HOPS ext. 0. Please be sure to bring your photo ID with you.
Online orders: You can now order your to-go beer online. Please note: We do NOT ship beer; this is for pick-up at our retail drive-thru only!
Keg sales: Due to the closure of bars and restaurants in Vermont, for a limited time we are offering logs of beer for customers to enjoy at home! Please note, we do not have tapping equipment available.
Discount for healthcare workers: We wish to celebrate all of our dedicated healthcare workers by offering a 40% discount at our drive-thru retail store (please bring your work ID).

BEER RELEASES
Our Fayston Maple Imperial Stout Aged in Mad River Distillers Rum Barrels is now available in bottles at our retail store. Brewed with loads of roasted and black malts with a hefty dose of Vermont Maple Syrup, then aged in Mad River Distillers “Maple Cask Rum” charred oak barrels from Warren, VT, this special beer is sure to please!
An early end to the ski season meant a surprise bottle release of our Still Single IPA, brewed in collaboration with our friends at Mad River Glen. Brewed with Centennial, Cascade and Mosaic hops, Still Single IPA features notes of lemon, lime, and pine. Originally available exclusively at General Stark’s Pub, it is now available in 22oz. bottles at our retail store and select accounts throughout Vermont for your enjoyment at home.
Baseball season may be postponed, but the release of our beloved Triple Play IPA is not! Triple Play’s trifecta of hop varieties (Citra, Simcoe & Amarillo) delivers a symphony of juicy fruit-forward hop flavors and a delightful bouquet of aromas. Winner of Brewing News National IPA Championship (2011), there is simply ‘no batter beer’! Available starting Friday, April 3rd in cans at our retail store, Triple Play will also be sold at select retail accounts in Vermont.
Beer Deliveries
Keep an eye out for our Sugarhouse IPA in the Northeast marketplace! This IPA was inspired by the first recipe crafted in 2008 at our home-based nanobrewery in Warren, VT. This hop-forward American IPA celebrates the “Sugarhouse Brewery” that is now our Wizard’s Workshop used for innovative test batches and taproom-only specials. This continually evolving recipe provides an opportunity to experiment with different combinations of hops and malts to create a delightful American IPA. You can expect a notable fruitiness, a delicate haze and soft bitterness in this latest release.
We are keeping production rolling on our fan favorites, Sip of Sunshine and Super Session #6, for everyone enjoying our beer from the comfort of their homes in Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey.
Charitable Giving Program
At Lawson’s Finest, we strive to be great neighbors through our charitable giving programs, including the Sunshine Fund at our taproom. Though the taproom is currently closed, we have been delighted to see our guests continuing to show their support via donations on purchases made at our retail store, which remains open. For the first part of April, we will be giving 100% of these donations to the Mad River Valley Community Fund, which is providing emergency grants for sudden unemployment due to COVID-19 precautions. In the second half of the month, we will be donating 100% of donations to the Vermont Community Fund‘s COVID-19 Response Fund.
